Biguine/beguine became popular in the 1930s when the exciting Afro-French bolero dance rhythm was created on Martinique. Kadans is the Cr ole spelling of a music genre that mixes calypso, mazouk, and beguine. Kadans rampa and kadans dous are two types of kadans.
